QUANTITATIVE ARCHAEOLOGY
As noted quantitative archaeology embraces the whole discipline, with 'archaeometry' often used for applications of the physical sciences to archaeological material. The latter generates a lot of data, often processed using multivariate statistical methods. A reasonably comprehensive account of the use of statistics in archaeology is attempted in my book Statistics in Archaeology, 2003, Arnold.
Useful books on statistics in archaeology, at various levels, are, in chronological order and some now more of historical interest,
Hodson F.R., Kendall, D.G. and Tautu P. (1971) Mathematics in the Archaeological and Historical Sciences. Edinburgh: Edinburgh University Press.

A more extensive literature review, to the early 2000s, is provided in Chapter 1 of Baxter (2003).
A list of my publications in this area, with links to some of them, is provided HERE. Some notes on the use of the R package for archaeological data analysis are HERE.
